What is bioinformatics? According to Wikipedia, bioinformatics is an interdisciplinary field that develops methods and software tools for understanding biological data, in particular when the data sets are large and complex. With the rapid development in deep learning in the past few years as well as the explosion of data, a number of breakthroughs were achieved in different areas of bioinformatics.
